ROCK HILL, S.C. — An engineering and manufacturing company already operating in Rock Hill, S.C., plans to triple its local footprint with a new 130,000-square-foot plant expected to bring 150 jobs to York County.

Re:Build said it will invest about $20 million in the advanced manufacturing facility. State officials said the plant will go up on the company’s added property at 2021 Williams Industrial Blvd., where it already runs a facility, and that operations are expected to be online in November 2026. The company said the 150 jobs will be created by 2028.

The expansion adds a clean room for precision composite work, more cold storage, an enhanced quality lab, new machining equipment, a heat-treat oven and a larger paint booth, according to the company. Re:Build said the added capacity is meant to meet growing demand from aerospace, defense, energy, medical and robotics customers.

The state Coordinating Council for Economic Development awarded a $100,000 Set-Aside grant to York County to help with the cost of building improvements. Gov. Henry McMaster and Commerce Secretary Harry Lightsey both pointed to the project as a sign of the state’s strength in advanced manufacturing.

Re:Build, founded in 2020, runs 12 locations across the country. People interested in the new jobs can find openings on the company careers page.
