ROCK HILL, S.C. — President Donald Trump is coming to Rock Hill on Thursday, Oct. 29, for a midterm rally less than a week before South Carolinians vote on Nov. 3.

The Republican National Committee announced the stop. Gates are set to open at 9 a.m., and the president is due to speak around 12:30 p.m. A site had not been named as of Monday, and free tickets are being handed out through an online sign-up.

The visit is aimed at shoring up Sen. Darline Graham, the Republican nominee facing Charleston Democrat Annie Andrews. In August, Graham beat U.S. Rep. Ralph Norman in a runoff by about five points, but Norman carried a dozen counties stretching from Oconee to York, including the Rock Hill area.

The Cook Political Report moved the Senate contest from likely Republican to leaning Republican in an Oct. 20 update, a sign the race has tightened in the final weeks.

Thursday will be the president’s second South Carolina appearance in under two weeks. On Oct. 21 he rallied at T. Ed Garrison Arena in Pendleton near Clemson. Rock Hill crowds have seen him before at Winthrop Coliseum, where he campaigned in January 2016 and again in February 2024 on the eve of the state’s Republican presidential primary.
