Rock Hill – A 19-year-old passenger was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following a shooting at a convenience store on Monday evening, July 7, 2025. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. at Adam’s Grocery, located on South Wilson Street. Rock Hill police reported that multiple individuals were involved in the shooting, which they are currently investigating.

Initial reports indicated that two men opened fire on two other men outside of the store. Upon arrival, officers discovered that two suspects had followed one of the victims out of the convenience store before beginning their attack. As the victim attempted to escape by getting into his vehicle, the passenger, who has not yet been identified, was struck by gunfire.

The critically injured passenger was transported to Piedmont Medical Center for treatment. As of Tuesday morning, there have been no arrests made related to the shooting, and the investigation continues as the Rock Hill Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division seeks to gather more information.

While authorities have yet to establish a motive for the shooting, there is currently no information regarding any surveillance footage that may have captured the incident. The police have made it clear that they are following all leads but are not ready to share further details at this time.

This incident marks the second shooting involving a teenager in Rock Hill within a span of ten days. Just a week prior, on June 27, a 17-year-old was fatally shot in a separate incident on Finley Road, which also remains unsolved. Authorities do not believe these two shootings are connected.
