A Community on Edge: The Disappearance of Hollese Nakia Baker

Authorities in York County, South Carolina, are embarking on an intensive search for a missing woman, Hollese Nakia Baker, who has not been seen for over a month. Baker, 47-years-old, was last seen by her roommate on January 4.

Described to be notably tall, standing at 5 feet 9 inches, and weighing about 150 pounds, Baker has short black hair and brown eyes. Her unexplained disappearance has left her community feeling a sense of unease and mounting concern for her wellbeing.

In what adds a unique twist to the investigation, Baker’s vehicle was discovered at Harvest Ministries in Wadesboro, N.C. on February 1, nearly a month after her disappearance. It remains unconfirmed whether Baker has connections to Harvest Ministries or this was an arbitrary place where her vehicle ended up.

Search Continues: Call for Community Action

With the investigation ongoing, the York County Sheriff’s Office cannot reveal much more information. However, they are pleading with the public to come forward with any knowledge regarding Baker’s current whereabouts or any information that might aid in establishing her movements after her last known sighting. Those with information that could be of use are being urged to contact the sheriff’s office at 803-628-3059.
