The 2027 Progressive Bassmaster Elite Series will run a nine-event regular season, opening on Lake Okeechobee Feb. 11-14 and closing on the water Aug. 19-22 before the year’s championship postseason. The schedule places the sport’s championship, the 2027 Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Classic presented by Under Armour, in the middle of the regular slate on March 19-21.
After the Okeechobee opener, the tour moves next door to the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes for a Feb. 18-21 event, giving anglers back-to-back Florida derbies before the Classic break. Regular-season competition resumes April 8-11 on the Sabine River and rolls through a summer stretch that ends with the Aug. 19-22 finale, setting the field for the postseason cutoff.
Historical context on the venues underlines the fishery’s depth. Lake Okeechobee has hosted B.A.S.S. competition since 1980; Ish Monroe joined the Okeechobee Century Club there in 2012 with a four-day total of 108 pounds, 5 ounces, and Brandon Palaniuk won the 2025 Elite event with 95-4. On the Kissimmee Chain, Cody Stahl won the 2026 Turtlebox Bassmaster Open presented by Battery Tender with 74 pounds, 6 ounces and a 22-1 winning margin recorded as the largest in Bassmaster Opens history.
Tour composition follows the same shape competitors have described in the days after the announcement: two Florida derbies to open the year and two northern favorites to close it, with a Lake Fork stop scheduled for April between them. The nine-event structure keeps the regular-season footprint aligned with prior years while shifting the opening venues into a Feb.-only Florida window.
