Poetry & Play Event to Foster Inclusivity

Poetry & Play: A We Are Rock Hill Poetry Festival Event is scheduled for Sunday, September 27, from 4–6 p.m. at Miracle Park, located at 1005 Eden Terrace in Rock Hill. The event is designed for children ages 1–5 and their families, with a particular emphasis on creating an inclusive experience for children with medical complexities and visible and invisible disabilities.

City of Rock Hill Poet Laureate Carlo L’Chelle Dawson and Youth Poet Laureate Kh’Mani Gilliam created the event as part of the We Are Rock Hill Poetry Festival. Local authors Emmy-Award Winning Journalist Laurabree and Meteorologist Keith Monday, who wrote the children’s book Weathering the Storm, will be present to read and share their stories.
