Visitors from outside the area also took part, including Andrew Switzer from Texas, who mentioned this was his first vacation in eight years, making the event even more special for him and his family.

Another attendee, Patrick Daka from Fort Mill, expressed his appreciation for the festive atmosphere, emphasizing the significance of love and peace during the celebrations. The Rock Hill festivities concluded at 9 PM, marking a successful day of family-friendly activities and patriotic spirit.

Additional Regional Celebrations

Rock Hill was not the only community celebrating Independence Day with flair. Nearby towns organized their own events that attracted sizable crowds as well. Fort Mill kicked off a two-day celebration starting on July 3rd at Elisha Park, featuring food trucks, entertainment, and fireworks at 9:15 PM.

Tega Cay also held a colorful celebration with a parade at 9 AM, followed by a Lions Fish Fry at 4:30 PM, and concluded with fireworks at 9 PM. Meanwhile, York’s celebration included live music and spectacular fireworks beginning at 6:30 PM at York Middle School.

Clover and Lake Wylie added to the festive spirit with an early morning fun run and golf cart parade, and fireworks scheduled for 9:30 PM. The town of Sharon celebrated with food vendors and their own fireworks display at the same time. The Charlotte Knights baseball team hosted one of the largest fireworks displays in the region after a game on July 3rd, adding to the many options for celebrating the holiday.
