Rock Hill Residents Honored for Service to University
Todd and Tanya Tucker of Rock Hill, South Carolina, have been named the 2026 Herb Coughlan Memorial Family of the Year. This award, established in 2001, recognizes families who have demonstrated dynamic leadership and service to Clemson University. The Tuckers were honored during halftime of a recent football game against North Carolina.
The Tuckers have served as co-chairs for Fall Family Weekend for the past three years. This past weekend, they assisted 1,452 registered families, totaling 4,895 guests, in having a positive experience at Clemson. They are also members of the Clemson Family Ambassador Board (CFAB), a volunteer group for parents with at least one child currently enrolled at the university. Tanya Tucker has been a CFAB member since 2020 and serves as secretary on its executive committee.
Two of their sons, Pierce and Chapman, graduated from Clemson in 2022 and 2023, respectively, with degrees in economics and psychology. Their youngest son, Dawson, is currently a senior majoring in psychology at Clemson. Both Todd and Tanya Tucker are graduates of Winthrop University. Tanya Tucker is a faculty member and field supervisor in the College of Arts and Sciences at Winthrop University, while Todd Tucker is a senior vice president and regional real estate sales manager with Bank of America.
