ROCK HILL, S.C. — Both Rock Hill High volleyball teams have state playoff matches on the calendar this week, with the boys holding the top seed in their bracket and the girls starting out on the road.
In the SCHSL Class 5A boys field, Rock Hill is the No. 1 seed and hosts No. 8 Fort Mill. Boys postseason play gets going Oct. 20, and the state title match is set for Oct. 31 at Lexington High School.
The Rock Hill girls drew the No. 11 seed in Class 5A and must win at No. 6 Lexington to keep their season going. The girls bracket begins Oct. 21. The winner of that first-round match goes on to play at No. 3 River Bluff, which earned a bye.
Girls championship matches are scheduled for Nov. 5 and Nov. 7, with every classification crowning its champion at Dreher High School in Columbia.
